SOMTECH currently offers two projects for members to take part of: URC and IGNITORS.
Both will test your engineering skills as you collaborate with team members to build a
competition-ready feat of engineering.
Join the team behind REVONIC, SOMTECH's rover for the URC competition.
Members can join without an application and take part in build nights, workshops, and URC meetings.
Help build different classes of rockets for the IREC competition in IGNITORS.
Take part in build nights, meetings, and in-person competitions!
Joining requires an application and formal interview.
Who Can Join?
Anyone can join!
SOMTECH does not require applications, but we want dedicated members who are willing to put
in a few hours a week. With such a diverse range of tasks when it comes to building a Mars Rover,
we need members from all facets of engineering. Now more than ever, we especially need members who
excel with software and coding. This includes, but is not limited to, students studying
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Electronic Systems
