SOMTECH at Texas A&M University is dedicated to pioneering
advancements in robotic technology through our participation in the
University Rover Challenge (URC). An event organized by the Mars Society,
URC is a global competition tasking university teams with designing, constructing,
and operating a rover to accomplish missions within a simulated Martian setting.

SOMTECH unites a diverse and talented cohort of over 40 undergraduate students from various disciplines
including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, and more across the A&M campus.
Supported by our extensive network of alumni, who provide invaluable mentorship and support,
alongside industry experts and esteemed professors, we meticulously craft a robust rover design and ensure mission readiness.
Our URC team is structured into four specialized sub-teams.
Each team leverages the unique expertise of its members to contribute to a holistic approach to rover development.
